Introduction[]

The Joheki Joheki no Mi (otherwise called the Rampart-Rampart Fruit) is a Paramecia-Type Devil Fruit consumed by the heavy weapon specialist of the Blizzard Pirates, Brutus "Tank" Andreyev.

Appearance[]

The fruit's looks resemble that of a large, square watermelon with a brick-shaped stem-leaf. It's texture resembles a honeydew melon, and tastes as sweet.

Usage[]

This fruit makes Brutus as durable as his nickname suggests, able to withstand almost any kind of damage by creating chainmail-like armor within the user's skin made up of small, equally durable bones.

Strengths[]

While only eaten at one point by Andreyev, one thing that can be certain of is that he can take a whole lot of abuse, and chuck it back in their face once he gets close enough to them. He can withstand almost any kind of weapon fire, from grenades, to torpedoes, to even sharp objects.

Weaknesses[]

However, this immense strength comes with an equally big price. Remember how Andreyev is nicknamed "Tank" by his crewmates? Yeah, that's because he moves as quickly as one! All that durability and weight can be devestating, but don't expect him to get too close to opponents immediately.

He's also not immune to seastone-encased bullets, the only type of gunfire that can penetrate his thick hide,

It's also worth noting that despite this strength, he's not immune to powerful gusts of wind, nor to being flung high into the air by something like the Gum-Gum Fruit (to cite an example).

Attacks[]

As Andreyev is the only current consumer of the Rampart-Rampart Fruit, his experiences will be the ones we focus on for this. Attacks include, but aren't limited to:

  • Rampart Mace: An attack that uses Tank's tail to demolish walls.
  • Rampart Bunker: This isn't so much an attack, as it is him digging his claws deep into the ground/deck of a ship in order to be a further hampering for anyone trying to dislodge him.
  • Rampart Punch: If he can get close enough to the enemy soldiers, he can use his ability to take so much abuse, and use this attack to chuck it all back in their faces like a Wobuffet using Mirror Coat!
  • Rampart Barrel: His final attack is when he gets extremely angry; he gains a surprising amount of speed for his normally tortoise paced walk cycle, and with ram himself into the enemy to buy his crewmates time to either escape to lay siege to an enemy ship.

Trivia[]

This fruit (not to mention the character) were inspired at least in part by the infamous TF2 character Heavy Weapons Guy. But don't panic, he's no carbon copy, as we'll soon see. He uses no minigun like the Heavy, for he doesn't need one when he can act as a giant, durable meat shield for his crewmates to hide behind.
