|Furu Furu no Mi|
|Romanized Name:||Furu Furu no Mi|
|English Name:||Sieve-Sieve Fruit|
The Furu Furu no Mi (ふるふるの実 Sieve-Sieve Fruit?) is a Paramecia Devil Fruit that allows the user to "sieve" any object they desire. "Furu" comes from "furui" which is japanese for "sieve". It was eaten by Jean Luc.
Strengths and WeaknessesEdit
The main strength of this fruit is that it allows the user to "sieve" objects, this is achieved by making a net-ike pattern run through the target. It then forces the targt to split into several smaller versions of itself, rendering it useless.
Both living and non-living objects can be sieved, when an inanimate object is sieved it splits into several, smaller, less dangerous versions of themselves. Although when a living being is sieved, they split into several, smaller, "chibi" versions of themselves, making them easier to deal with.
If the net pattern misses the target or the target is fast enough to avoid it, different object will be sieved. The "chibi" people can also work together to attack the user of this fruit. Other than this, the user suffers from the standard devil fruit weakness.
Jean Luc mainly uses this fruit or combat purposes such as reducing he enemy to small, doll like versions of themselves or countering their attack. He has the tendency to shatter walls and entire buildings just to pass through. He first demonstrated his mastery of the devil fruit against Portgas D. Ace in the past and proved a worthy foe against the Logia user.
He can also manipulate the net pattern in various ways, being able to create walls and shields in order to stop attacks on the spot, without running the pttern through the target. He can also fire flat blasts of the pattern to sieve objects from a distance.The named techniques that are used by Jean Luc that involve the Devil Fruit are as follows:
- Punkai (分開 Punkai?, literally meaning "Seperation"): The most basic attack used by Jean Luc, it allows him to run a net-like pattern thrugh an object. The object then splits into multiple, smaller copies of itself. This can be used on both biotic and abiotic objects, he objects that are sieved still retain their properties as sown against the Mera Mera no Mi.
- Point Blank Punkai (ポイントブランク分開 Pointo Burankku Punkai?, literally meaning "Point Blank Seperation"): A variation of the Punkai technique, Jean Luc uses the techique at point blank range for more devastating results.
- Sieve Sieve Shield (ふるふる盾 Furu Furu Tate?): Jean Luc creates a large net-like shield aainst his arm, which sieves anything which comes into contact with it.
